Better UI Extension Issues

Extension Not Working

Problem: Better UI features aren't appearing or working on Google AI Studio.

Solutions:

• Make sure you're on aistudio.google.com
• Refresh the page after installing the extension
• Check that the extension is enabled in Chrome's extension settings
• Try disabling and re-enabling the extension

Keyboard Shortcuts Not Working

Problem: Enter to send or other premium shortcuts aren't functioning.

Solutions:

• Did you actually buy premium? Check. I had 3 people complain before realizing they were on free tier.
• Click in the text box first. Sounds dumb, but 90% of "Enter doesn't work" is this.
• Refresh the page. It's the "turn it off and on" of web apps.
• Is Caps Lock on? It shouldn't matter but with Google, who knows.

"My License Key Doesn't Work!" (You Copied It Wrong)

The Problem: Gumroad sends ugly license keys that look like someone fell asleep on the keyboard.

What Actually Works:

• The key looks like: ABCD1234-EFGH5678-IJKL9012-MNOP3456 (but uglier)
• Gmail put it in spam. Check there. It's always there.
• You copied an extra space. You always do. Delete the last character and retype it.
• Copy it to Notepad first. If it's 2 lines, you messed up. Start over.

Google AI Studio Is Dead (It's Not You)

What's Happening: Google's servers are having a moment. Or your internet is. Or Mercury is in retrograde.

The Debug Dance:

• Open Twitter/X. Search "Google AI Studio down." If yes, make coffee and wait.
• Clear cookies (Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data). Yes, you'll have to log in again.
• Incognito mode. If it works there, some extension is being a jerk.
• Turn off all extensions except mine. If it works, turn them back on one by one. Find the culprit. Shame it.

Chat History Not Loading

Problem: Previous conversations aren't appearing.

Solutions:

• Refresh the page
• Check if you're signed into the correct Google account
• Try using Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + O to open recent chats
• Clear browser data and sign in again

"Why Is My Message Stuck?" (You Hit the Limit)

Reality Check: Google gives you like 50 messages then says "that's enough for today." It's annoying.

Fixes That Actually Work:

• Check the tiny text at the bottom that says "2 queries remaining." Yeah, that's your problem.
• Your prompt is 10,000 words. Gemini gave up. Make it shorter.
• You're sending 🚀 emojis. Sometimes Gemini hates emojis. Remove them.
• Just type "test" and hit Enter. If that doesn't work, Google is broken, not you.

Browser-Related Issues

Chrome Extension Conflicts

Problem: Other extensions interfering with Better UI or Google AI Studio.

Solutions:

• Disable other extensions one by one to identify conflicts
• Use Chrome's incognito mode to test without extensions
• Update Chrome to the latest version
• Reset Chrome settings if necessary

Performance Issues

Problem: Google AI Studio running slowly or consuming too much memory.

Solutions:

• Close unnecessary tabs and applications
• Clear browser cache and restart Chrome
• Check for Chrome updates

You're technical. Good. Here's what to do:

1. F12. Console tab. Look for red text.
2. If it says "Cannot read property of undefined" - Google changed something. Email me.
3. If it says "403 Forbidden" - You're rate limited. Stop spamming Gemini.
4. Screenshot the red text. Send it to me. I'll fix it in 24 hours (unless it's weekend).

Extension Reinstallation

If problems persist, try completely reinstalling Better UI:

3. Reinstall from the Chrome Web Store
4. Re-enter your license key if you have premium
