Start free, then choose more

The free starter set turns on Sponsored, Suggested for you, and Reels and Watch. You can also enable suggested Page, suggested group, and People You May Know filters. Pro adds filters for AI-labelled content, engagement bait, duplicates, repeated reshares, and Comment Shield.

Modes

Use a temporary feed mode

Feed Control mode choices including Quiet Feed, No Suggested Content, No Reels, No Politics, Spoiler Guard, Work Break, Calm Evening, and 15-Minute Focus

A mode temporarily replaces the current filter selection. Stop it when you want the earlier settings back. Topic-based modes depend on supported local Chrome model availability; they do not send post text to a remote model.

Setup

Turn it on in three steps

Install the extension

Add Facebook Reset & Feed Control from the Chrome Web Store. It does not ask for a Facebook password.

Open desktop Facebook

Use the Facebook account already signed in to Chrome, then open the extension panel.

Open Feed

Turn Feed Control on and select filters, a mode, or local rules.

Scroll normally. Review placeholders in the feed and use Recovery when you want to show an item again.

Can it hide Suggested for you?

Yes. Matching suggested posts are hidden after Facebook loads them, with a local Show once placeholder.

Relationships

Will it unfollow anyone?

No. Feed Control does not unfollow, unfriend, or alter a Facebook relationship.

Blocking

Does it block ads or tracking?

No. It hides matching loaded posts. It does not block Facebook network requests, ads, or Meta tracking.

Rules

Can I hide words or topics?

Free supports local word, phrase, hashtag, domain, and source rules. Topic and comment rules require Pro and supported local features.

Recovery

Can I reveal a hidden post?

Yes. Use Show once on the placeholder or review hidden posts and local mutes in Recovery.

Privacy

Does post content leave Chrome?

Feed rules and hidden-post records stay local. Optional diagnostics exclude Facebook content, names, identifiers, rules, URLs, and raw history.
